Reimagining Bangladeshi cuisine, one লোকমা at a time. The culinary lab of Sameera Wadood, in collaboration with Pastryarchy, is bringing you an introductory chapter to the cuisine of modern Bangladesh.

Modern Bangladeshi cooking isn’t about returning to traditional recipes and simply plating them with a few new tweaks. It demands revisiting ingredients, in altogether new ways, combining the essence of dishes with our diverse ingredients. Many cultures have traveled through the valleys of Bangladesh, exchanging ingredients, recipes, and tales. Like feeding a baby, our aim is to subliminally introduce the world to what makes Bangladeshi cuisine not only unique but also the cuisine of the world.

We show you how exactly we build a menu by exploring new local ingredients, and new techniques, in the Bangali way. It is time to transcend cultural borders.
